How to Use Your Sage Smudge Sticks:
The goal with smudging is not to have flames but smoke. It is the smoke that purifies and cleanses So once it is lit, use your hand or breath to blow the flame out if it doesn't go out on its own. Then wave the smoke around whatever it is you'd like to purify. A feather or group of feathers is a traditional way to do this.
As the smoke moves around and up to the sky, imagine releasing whatever is not in your best interests. Let it go on the smoke. The sacred smoke will take these energies back to the Source, where they will be transformed into positive energy again. You could ask, sing, or chant for the cleansing that you desire.
Use your choice of sage first, to remove the negative energy, followed by a small amount of smoke from the Palo Santo to bring in the positive energy.

White sage is an ancient herb used to cleanse and purify your surroundings.
Floral sage is white sage with various dried flowers, petals, or leaves. The specific cleanse produced varies by flower variety.
Dragon’s Blood sage is white sage covered in Dragon's Blood resin. Once thought to be the blood of dragons that had perished in combat, Dragon’s Blood is really the hardened resin of certain rare trees found in India and Sumatra. It has a natural red pigment and a haunting, earthy fragrance. Dragon’s Blood is used to add potency to spells, for protection, and to create a meditative atmosphere. Also known to have powerful effect in stimulating sex drive and passionate love.
Palo Santo means “holy wood” best known for its ability to add positivity to your space whereas sage removes negativity. It’s best to think of it as sage CLEARS out the bad and Palo Santo BRINGS back the good.
